How to CLEAR library obligations...
Students will be placed on the obligation list if the textbook or library book checked out to them is lost, not returned when due, or returned in a condition that makes it unusable (i.e. cannot be repaired; especially if mold is present).
Students can clear their library record by:
1. Returning the book in good condition.
2. Pay the price listed in the school library record for a replacement book.
3. Work through community service to earn credit equal to the obligation.
4. Purchase a replacement book online and bring it to the library to clear the obligation.

How to Purchase a Replacement Textbook Online
1. In order to shop online you must have a credit card or purchase a debit card (available at supermarkets and many other stores).
2. You must have the ISBN for the textbook you need to replace. This is the only way to be sure you are getting an identical replacement textbook. The school library can give you the correct number. (You may use either the 10-digit or 13-digit ISBN)
3. On a computer, go to the internet. Choose any search engine: Google, Yahoo, Bing… etc.
4. In the search box, enter only the ISBN. Click search or find…
5. Your search should provide a list of sellers that have the book. Look at several and compare prices. Make sure they list the correct ISBN.
6. Select a book listed in “good” condition or better.
7. If you need to get the book quickly, call the seller and ask when they will ship the book to you; and if express or overnight shipping is available. (This will be an extra charge.)
8. Complete the transaction by filling out the online order form and including your complete name, address and credit or debit card number.
9. Print your receipt. Make sure it has your order number and/or confirmation number.
10. When you receive the textbook, bring it to the school library and your obligation will be cleared.
